GovtIntel.com is operated by DWU Consulting LLC. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our Site and use our services, including the GovtIntel AI chatbot.

2. Information We Collect

Automatically collected: When you visit the Site, our hosting provider (Vercel) may collect standard web server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We use this data for security monitoring and rate limiting.

Chat interactions: When you use the GovtIntel AI chatbot, your questions are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. We do not store your chat messages on our servers. Your IP address is hashed for rate limiting purposes only and is not stored in a persistent database.

We do NOT collect: personal names, email addresses, phone numbers, or payment information through the Site. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes.

3. How We Use Information

Information is used solely for: (a) providing the AI chatbot service; (b) rate limiting to prevent abuse; (c) security monitoring; (d) improving the quality of our content and services.

4. Third-Party Services

Anthropic (Claude API): Chat messages are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to the processing of your chat inputs. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models.

Vercel: The Site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel's privacy policy applies to infrastructure-level data collection (server logs, edge network routing).

5. Data Retention

Rate limiting data is stored in-memory and is automatically cleared when server instances restart. We do not maintain persistent databases of user interactions. Server logs are retained according to Vercel's standard retention policies.

6. Your Rights
